In The Box

Using The Device

The Innokin Itaste VTR in either mirror finished Stainless Steel or Jungle Camo is a variable wattage & variable voltage, extremely solid, even retro electronic cigarette / vaping mod with excellent attention to detail and build quality, If this device had been around in the early 70’s you would have seen the classic Bond film bad guy “the man with the golden gun - Scaramanga“ vaping on one of these puppies, It is heavy and has a real classic look and feel to it, There is a firing button of the left side with a nice, bright LED indictor above it to show you the current state of the battery, green, yellow & red (is dead), 3 clicks on the firing button will turn the device on and off, It has a bright blue led screen discreetly hiding behind that mirror finished panel on the front, by pressing the menu button in the middle of its rotating wheel the display will give you the coil resistance in ohms, further clicks will take you through its other 2 settings (Voltage & Wattage) to adjust either option you simply rotate the wheel left or right to increase or lower the output, it also has a nice feature of remembering your settings after a battery change, It comes with 1 x Iclear 30S and an extension tube in case you want to use the VTR with a bigger tank.

Output

It has an output voltage range of 3.0V to 6.0V, a wattage range of 3.0W to 15W and a maximum output current of 5.0A, The manufacturers minimum recommended resistance of the coil is 0.8 Ohm, The short circuit protection will kick in at about 0.6 Ohm +/- 0.2 Ohm

Construction

The VTR has a real weighty and solid construction made from what feels like could only be solid stainless steel, There are no removable parts, and the device weighs in at 330g (around 11.5 Ounces) without battery.

The Display

There is a bright blue LED display hiding discreetly behind a mirror panel that will give you the resistance of the coil and the output settings, a nice touch! it also gives you the battery condition green, yellow & red (is Dead) on a square LED panel just above the firing button on the left hand side.

Battery Compatibility

The device needs 1 x 18650 High drain battery, It is not able to run on 2 x 18350 batteries stacked, It has built in short circuit, reverse polarity protection & a 10 second cut off incase it is firing in your pocket / bag.

Guidelines

1. NEVER leave batteries unattended when charging especially overnight while sleeping.
2. NEVER keep batteries loose in your pocket or bag where they could short circuit and cause a dangerous or explosive event. Use a suitable case or plastic battery holder.
3. NEVER place the charger on flammable surfaces when charging. (carpets, fabrics etc)
4. Don't heat, incinerate or reverse the polarity, always check polarity when charging or inserting into the device.
5. Do not over-charge or over-discharge. Remove from charge as soon as you get the green light or fully charged indication, check the instructions if unsure.
6. Use only the correct charger for the batteries, if you are uncertain check.
7. Only use recommended batteries and do not purchase or use cheap alternatives.
8. Discard a battery if it fails to keep a charge or looks damaged in any way.
9. Do not over-tighten atomisers / tanks onto the device, you only need to tighten until contact is made.
10. When charging batteries via USB do not over-tighten them in the charging lead.
11. Please dispose of batteries safely and according to the regulations.
